How to mitigate employee turnover?

A proposal for developing an Individual Development Plan for the commercial sector

Abstract

Keeping a company's employees engaged and motivated is not a simple process, and nowadays, it is one of the biggest challenges in the business world. Additionally, this lack of motivation can, in many cases, hinder the final results of a given sector. It is with the aim of understanding why and where this arises that this study analyzes and understands the situation that, when well planned and structured, strategic tools can be indispensable in developing employee satisfaction, making this institution more productive and competitive . It was through books, articles and websites that cover this issue of human resources that the content covered was extracted. To this end, an analysis was carried out in a sales sector, where it was possible to identify the lack of engagement and the high level of turnover among employees, which led to a lack of commitment to the company. After reviewing the literature on people management, it was considered appropriate for companies with the characteristics that will be detailed in this report to develop and apply an Individual Development Plan (PDI), with the aim of engaging these people with the company's organizational objectives, understanding and understanding their values ​​and culture. Therefore, it is understood that with this Plan, businesses will have more qualified people engaged with the company's results and, consequently, a reduction in company turnover today.
